MEET echo aliens
echo aliens is an interactive performance by choreographer Ar Utke Ács and performer Mariana Suikkanen Gomes, inviting the audience to step into an emotional landscape. One by one, you’ll be welcomed to share a moment with us—entering an installation of tactile, colorful draperies by scenographer Tove Dreiman, accompanied by ambient sound compositions by Soho Rezanejad.

ABOUT echo aliens
echo aliens begins with memories of times when our emotional state didn’t align with the expectations of those around us. What if the things that are supposed to make you happy don’t? Have you ever felt like an alien—out of place—when your mood didn’t match the energy of a room?
The performer invites you to sit with them and share a memory of your choice, allowing the feeling to linger for a moment. Through guided visualization, your alien feelings are invited to come alive within you, taking on a life of their own. We will support you as you explore your relationship with this inner, affective alien, letting it become part of an imagined emotional landscape.
echo aliens is co-produced by MARC and supported by the Danish Arts Council. It is based in the dance piece echoes that premiered in 2021 supported by Kulturrådet, the Danish Arts Council, Nordic Culture Fund, Nordic Culture Point and Bikubenfonden.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ar Utke Ács is an artist working in contemporary dance and an expanded understanding of choreography. Their practice explores the poetics and politics of the body at the intersection of performance, dramaturgy, text, installation, social choreographies, and the imaginary. They are particularly engaged with counter-hegemonic strategies and forms of organizing grounded in queer and crip writing and lived experience.
Based in Stockholm and Copenhagen, Ar holds a BA in Dance Performance from Stockholm University of the Arts. They are a member of the studio cooperatives Dance Cooperative and höjden studios (SE).
Ar has co-produced works in collaboration with Dansehallerne, MDT (SE), and BIT Teatergarasjen (NO), and has presented work at platforms such as Baltic Circle (FI), Open Out / Tromsø Kunstforening (NO), Index Art Foundation (SE), and Charlottenborg (DK).

ABOUT THE COLLABORATORS
Tove Dreiman is an artist and scenographer based in Stockholm. In collaborations and individual projects she experiments with tactility and melodrama, moving freely between painting, installation, textile and sculpture.
In the dance field she has collaborated with choreographers Ar Utke Acs, Ellen Söderhult, Stina Nyberg, MYKA, Ida Haugen and Lisen Pousette.

Mariana Suikkanen Gomes is an artist, performer and curator who makes work through her own platform for art, writing and activism: BAFFLED BUT PERSISTENT. In her ongoing solo project TENDER PROTEST SERIES she explores themes around exile, memory, intimacy and vulnerability in a performance that holds space for poetry, rituals and sensory traces.
In recent times Mariana has worked as a producer with Harald Beharie and Ar Utke Ács, as well as producing and co-curating at MDT in Stockholm between 2020 and 2023. As an actor and performer Mariana has worked with artists and choreographers such as Marcus Baldemar, Tyra Wigg, Sydney Leoni, GomesLechQuigley, Lundahl & Seitl and Fiksdal & Floen. She holds a BA (Hons) in LIVE ARTS from Kingston University and an MA, The Autonomous Actor, from Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts.
